HOW TO CLEAN SUEDE!

note: this is for light marks ONLY. for deeper marks, it's best to go to a pro (:

i LOVE light colours. unfortunately, light colours are subject to babying -- i always have to make sure no stains appear. sometimes though, it's inevitable! i was a wanker and thought it might be a good idea to walk through a dusty carpark wearing these. and they promptly got stained ):

never fear, mr. owl is here! :3

this is just a normal eraser i bought from typo. you can use any just MAKE SURE it is clean to a t (or a c. get it? hurrdurr). just find the culprit stain and erase away. try to erase in the direction of the sued fibers. be firm but not harsh or you will damage it and it will leave marks.

and voila! happy rubbing! ;)

REVIEW: D-UP WONDER EYELID TAPE EXTRA

got my two wonderful items from best beauty 2008, a fantastic ebay store which sells a lot of japanese and korean beauty products! the shipping was great and took exactly 5 business days to ship from hong kong to australia (usually i wait a minimum of two weeks). i'll be reviewing the eyelid tape!

1. packaging: 6/10
i mean, it was okay. picture was cute -- but a bitch to open! had to cut into the very thick plastic with scissors, and it took a while.

2. instructions: 10/10
although i can barely read japanese, the instructions were very clear, diagrams and all. it came witha set of instructions on the back, and a booklet inside.

3. tweezers: 6/10
don't like them, simply because they're a little on the sharper side, and they're too wide to pick up the tape as instructed -- i have to do one side by hand all the time.

onto the tape itself!

4. strength: 9.5/10
these work. as long as your eyelid isn't oily, these will stick, and stick well. they didn't call it extra for a reason! even with makeup remover, i still had to peel them off by hand. meaning be VERY CAREFUL and do not tear off, you can damage your eyelid.

5. enlargement: 7/10
very thin, so if you're looking for minimum enlargement, these are perfect. if not, look elsewhere as they are too think to create a large crease.

6. subtlety: 10/10
LOL. please ignore my eyebags ): shitty week. while these might not be as discreet as glue, these are THE best tapes i have used for subtlety. you almost can't tell. i suspect it has a lot to do with it being double-sided.

7. comfort: 7/10
over time, the corners may become a bit unsticky if your skin is oil-prone. that means you might experience the slight discomfort of something kind of sharp poking at you. so keep blotting paper nearby if it's a hot day!

total: 8/10

ASOS: UNDER $30 ONEE-GYARU FINDS!

(each picture is a link!)
so i'm no expert on onee-gyaru, having started only last december, and that comes with the great perk of having no idea where to shop! the lovely ansku introduced me to some brands like liz lisa, ma*rs, cocolulu, jesus diamante, blue moon blue, cecil mcbee and ghost of harlem, and i think i fell madly in love with liz lisa, haha. it also inspired me to have a look at some of the places i regularly shop at and see if they have any pretty things for western gyaru.

first stop: asos! i LOVE asos - they have a wonderful collection of labels not easily found locally, they have incredible sales and....... FREE SHIPPING! i purposely sought for mini dresses/playsuits that had lace and/or chiffon and pretty pastel colours (: enjoy!

PINK BUBBLY: NAILS!

as 2013 rolls around, the festivites are somewhat decreasing - but still here! i've gone out for dinner almost all week, and spent lots of time shopping. this means i don't have much time for anything other than more quick fix gyaru nails! this week i grabbed some hot pink polish, some little round gems/pearls, and trusty gold glitter. i call it 'pink bubbly' because it reminds me of pink champagne and bubbles!

too lazy to put watermark on this, but eh! hope to find more time soon - i want ice cream nails! om nom nom.

MACADAMIA NATURAL OIL REVIEW

i don't think it's any secret that i suffer from dry hair (bleaching will do that to you!). lately, i've been incredibly lazy, but today i'll be reviewing one product that saved  my hair - healing oil treatment by macadamia natural oil!

sadly, i ran out of my bottle last month, but plan on repurchasing asap. i got my product from online shopping x, and was pleasantly surprised. with a name like that and such low prices, it seems a bit sketchy, but they are actually legit and ship at a decent speed!

onto the review! n__n

price: 3/5. for roughly $38, 125ml isn't cheap. HOWEVER, the product is so good, and i probably use more than others as my hair is lady lovely locks' evil cousin - thick, waist-length, and prone to frizziness. eventually i had to learn to use rather sparingly and concentrate more on problem areas.

texture: 5/5. WOW. for an oil, this calms down very very quickly. my hair drank it all up! there was no greasy leftover. the liquid itself is not too thick and glides easily through your hair.

scent: 3/5. i have mixed feelings. i think it smells absolutely DELICIOUS (like honey-roasted macadamias) ... but it made my eyes watery and my nose a little sniffly because it was so strong. you can fill a room with this scent!

effectiveness: 4.5/5. i didn't give it a perfect score, because i haven't tried enough oils to compare. i've only ever used a sunsilk cream treatment which didn't really do anything. compared to that, this thing is heaven-sent. it minimized the frizz and made my hair so yummy and soft. i say minimized because i think my hair will always be a little frizzy just because of genetics, but it did the best of any other hair product i've used, PLUS added a lot of shine!

how i used it:
1. shampoo, condition, rinse.
2. IF blowdrying, apply afterwards. work through hair using fingers. NEVER apply to scalp - concentrate on ends and problem areas.
3. IF drying hair naturally, apply while damp/towel-dried. work through hair using fingers. NEVER apply to scalp - concentrate on ends and problem areas.

overall, i give it 4/5 stars <3
